Description JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Closer to manage and finalize residential property transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide outstanding client service. The successful candidate will work on traditional closing transactions, but also primarily REO transactions. The transactions will include property in Georgia and in other states, and the successful candidate will receive training on non-Georgia closings. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all aspects of the closing process with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys. Prepare and review closing documents, including Closing Disclosure, ALTA Settlement Statement, deeds, and title policies. Closer must be proficient with SoftPro Select. Ability to understand title issues and collaborate with attorneys for title clearance. Schedule and process fundings, ensuring all conditions are met prior to funding. Communicate effectively with all parties to ensure a smooth transaction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not require the exercise of supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in residential real estate closings (Georgia experience preferred). Knowledge of Georgia closing laws and attorney-supervised closing requirements. Proficiency in SoftPro Select. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Notary Public certification. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills; Fee Requests/Approvals with billing experience in a law firm that has a high transaction volume is preferred; Proficiency with excel and other Microsoft products; BKFS, Vendorscape, SSE Portal and TEMPO experience preferred, but not required; Proficiency in Judicial foreclose process; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects; Overall good attitude and willingness to adapt to change; Must possess good organizational skills; Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Balances team and individual responsibilities; Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Must be very analytical and have excellent problem solving skills; PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
