We are looking for caring and empathetic individuals to join our team as Residential Social Care Workers, supporting children and young people in our six small, but well-established homes.
While previous experience is preferable, it is not essential. What matters most is that you share our core values: integrity, responsibility, respect, courage, and kindness. We are seeking individuals who are motivated, resilient, enthusiastic, and who have hobbies or skills that can add value to the lives of the young people we support.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Approaches at Pear Tree are heavily influenced by psychology. As such, this post would ideally suit anyone seeking future career progression within that professional domain. Guided training into child development and trauma recovery will underpin your daily practice, with regular professional supervision available, provided by our attached, progressive and Chartered Educational Psychologist.
Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and will be required to use their vehicle for work purposes.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, and successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, including a Children’s Barred List check. Please note this role is classed as a regulated activity with children and it is an offence under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
