Responsibilities The Residential Supervisor- primary objective is to supervise the execution, provide support and direction, and coordinate all logistical and support services within the Residential program to deliver on patient requirements. This includes providing training, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring that vehicles and equipment are safe, and meet legal requirements, as well as making sure that employees are successfully trained and aware of their responsibilities. The Residential Supervisor - Operations monitors the implementation as well as the learning and development of staff. They provide skilled instruction and supervision to patients in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities in community settings. Work is full-time and may be mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights and/or split in this 24 hour/7-day per week residential facility. Work is primarily performed at the residential site and may also include the clinic and/or the community. The residential site may be a home and/or an apartment complex which may have two stories; if two stories, the top story is accessible by one flight of stairs. The position may require on occasion driving in and exposure to hazardous weather conditions. The position may require travel to different facilities. * Oversees and executes the implementation of residential patient programs and Neuro Rehabilitation Specialist (NRS) training. * Teaches, monitors, administers, and documents individual patient programs including ADL's (as outlined on the Needs and Services Plans) and therapeutic home programs in English. * Supervises maintenance of vehicle cleanliness, vehicle maintenance and inspections ensuring all CNS vehicles are kept in safe working condition. Conducts or ensures weekly vehicle safety inspections. Maintains appropriate documentation on all vehicles. Requires visual acuity and the ability to detect problems in vehicles. Reports all vehicle repairs and follows-up on repairs. * Coordinates transportation schedule and routes for inpatient, assisted living, and day treatment patients as well as medical appointments. Assures routine errands are also scheduled while working within an overall schedule for patient activities. Supervises the pick-up and delivery of supplies as needed. Assists with transports as needed. * Organizes staff training in-services. Conducts staffings as needed covering clinic staffings, program updates, etc. at the residential site. Assists with instructing NRS training and other in-service training sessions at the request of the Residential Rehabilitation Manager. * Monitors individual patient treatment programs as assigned. Consults with Residential Rehabilitation Programming Manager and Residential Treatment Coordinator for input on design and effectiveness of programs. Qualifications Experience and Education * Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but will substitute experience. Must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age. * Work Experience: Working knowledge of rehabilitation care is required. Will become an AVADE and Neuro-Bist trainer. Completion of Neuro-Bist required. Must maintain CPR, First Aid, and AVADE Certifications. Willingness to pursue a commercial driver’s license if applicable. Must meet the requirements as specified in the company insurance policy.
