MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Active driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a state background check (ORCHARDS).
  • Negative pre-employment and active employment drug screenings.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Residential Support Professional (RSP), you will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in achieving their desired quality of life. You will provide continuous care and support in a home setting, helping children develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible while ensuring safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct Care & Support:
  • Administer medications and perform nurse-delegated tasks.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care.
  • Prepare meals according to prescribed diets.
  • Document client progress in compliance with company policies and OARs.
  • Implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Individualized Support Plans (ISP).
  • Engage clients in creative, individualized in-home activities.
  • Promote safety, autonomy, and emotional well-being.
  • Community & Medical Support:
  • Accompany clients on outings and medical appointments.
  • Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies.
  • Encourage positive coping skills and family reunification goals.
  • Assist with schoolwork and virtual learning.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.
