Summary: A responsible individual who provides supervision of the residents in the program during assigned hours. In addition, under the direct supervision of the Program Manager or designee, he/ she coordinates and facilitates social programs and groups for residents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for supervision and safety of residents and children in all daily activities, including monitoring as required, room safety checks, supervise self-administration of mediations, providing orientation and responding to all requests and emergencies. Maintains all necessary documentation on client activity during shift. Conducts individual and group social-rehabilitation and care coordination activities. May be required to transport clients in personal or Agency vehicle/maintain cleanliness of vehicle. In the event of staff shortage, may be required to work past scheduled hours until a relief staff can be found Provides a safe and nurturing environment for children while client is engaged in specific services and adjustment periods. Follows the utilization review process Perform other related tasks as required. *All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings* Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11:00 PM -7:30 AM Requirements Education &/Or Experience: A current active CNA/MA Certification for the State of Connecticut, Peer Support Specialist Certification, or a degree in Human Services Field. 3 years of experience in residential setting preferred. All Residential Support Staff Employees are required to show proof of a CPR Certification within 60 days of official start date.
