A bit about the role Our Residential Support Worker is an entry level role where you don't need previous experience or qualifications, we’re looking for a positive attitude and the desire to give the best care to children and young people. This is a great opportunity to get your ‘foot in the door’ and allows you to explore the field of Social Care and decide if it’s the right fit for you, whilst gaining practical experience. You’ll create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop, ensuring wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance and advocacy. What you do could make a difference As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be assuming responsibility for the personal care and daily routines of the young individual, providing support with personal hygiene, communication, administering of medication and ensuring the safeguarding of our young people by accurate recording and reporting. Ideally you will have: * A positive and confident approach to engaging with children and Young People. * Demonstrate a solution focused approach to address problems, individually and in a team setting. * Demonstrate emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role. * Possess a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or recognised equivalent, if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided.
