JOB TITLE: RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER – CHILDREN’S HOME

Location: LE3, Leicester
Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Days, Evenings, Weekends (Rota Basis)

We are a dedicated and nurturing children’s residential home based in the LE3 area of Leicester. Our home provides a safe, stable, and supportive environment for children and young people aged 8–17 who have experienced trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioral challenges.

Role Overview
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily care and development of the young people in our home. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team, helping to create a nurturing, structured environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building positive relationships with young people based on trust and consistency
  • Supporting the daily routines, including education, activities, meals, and personal care
  • Managing challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner
  • Contributing to care plans and attending regular team meetings
  • Ensuring the home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming
  • Keeping accurate records and reports in line with Ofsted regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential or similar setting
  • A compassionate, resilient, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to work on a shift basis, including evenings and weekends
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it)
  • A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
