Oaktree Childcare is looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers (RCWs)/ Shift Leaders to join our team at our Residential Children’s Homes located on the Fylde Coast. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to young people in a residential setting, helping them navigate daily activities and encouraging their personal growth. Your ability to communicate effectively, implement care plans, and create a safe and nurturing environment will be key to making a positive impact in the lives of the young people you support.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is preferred. Candidates without this qualification must be willing to work towards it.
  • Driving License: A full, valid driving license is essential for the role.
  • Commitment to Care: You should be dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and willing to follow all relevant policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Compassionate Care: Offer unconditional support to children and young people in our care, encouraging their participation in outdoor activities and fostering positive experiences.
  • Individual Support: Guide young people according to their specific needs, supporting them in their development and helping them to build confidence and independence.
  • Record Keeping & Administration: Maintain accurate records, including care plans, daily reports, and other administrative duties to ensure continuity of care.
  • Uphold Care Standards: Follow company policies, national legislation, and best practices to provide the highest standard of care and ensure a safe environment for the young people and your team.
  • Safeguarding: Take all reasonable steps to safeguard young people and staff members, promoting a safe and secure environment at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the care team to ensure a consistent approach to care and support.
