At Stevens Children’s Homes we operate small, family-oriented homes for a maximum of three young people. Operating small homes allows us to achieve a person centred approach for the positive outcomes of the children and young people in our care. By running small homes, we are unique in comparisons to the other residential providers within the sector which run larger homes.

CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER:

We are currently recruiting to fill the posts of a full time Children’s Residential Support workers. This will be over a Monday to Sunday rota with sleep in duties. Seeking to employ enthusiastic and ambitious individuals looking for a professional challenge, with a desire to make a difference in the lives of children and young people. At Stevens, we provide the opportunity for you to progress within a career within the residential childcare sector.
Experienced applicants are preferred however, full training is given to all successful candidates.

• Maintaining a high quality of care and support which meets the emotional, physical, social, and cultural needs of the young people. Providing a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which the children/young people feel safe and secure.
• Establishing positive relationships with the young people, offering them unconditional and positive regard.
• To act as a keyworker or co-worker for a young person, to ensure all care plans are up to date and all care needs are being met. To be a positive role model, offering advice, guidance, and support where necessary.
• Providing support to the young people in their education, extra-curricular activities, likes and interests.
