12 HOURS SHIFTS ARE AVAILABLE (A MINIMUM OF 2 X 12 HOUR SHIFTS/WEEK)
DAY TIME HOURS ALSO AVAILABLE (not school hours).
Waking Night shifts: Assisting with settling the young people (ages 11-16) from the evening onwards. Providing support through out the night if required. Completing light housework duties.
Ability to work throughout the night - this position requires you to remain awake throughout the night.
Care staff need to be friendly, energetic and approachable, while being able to uphold boundaries and ensure the safety of the children and young people in their care.
Hours : 12hrs shifts Typically 8pm – 8am
Holidays : 29 days holiday per annum (FTE) which must be taken in
annual leave year January – December. Annual leave includes bank holidays allowance.
For each Bank Holiday Day worked a supplement of
£50 will be paid. Christmas Day working bonus is £100.
Overall Purpose : To stay awake and provide professional care throughout the night to a group of children and young people within a residential care and school setting, as part of an integrated staff team. To ensure this is achieved it is a requirement that you stay awake during all working hours.
