JOB OVERVIEW

Anesi House is a nurturing, trauma-informed residential children’s home located in Walsall, proudly operated by Axios Care Homes Ltd. We provide therapeutic, person-centred care to children and young people aged 8–18 with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. Our team is dedicated to providing stability, structure, and a safe, warm environment that supports recovery and growth.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transport when necessary.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a support worker or similar role is desirable, particularly with children.
  • Familiarity with childcare practices and the ability to engage children positively.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is an advantage.
  • A strong understanding of care plans and the ability to adapt them as needed based on individual requirements.

For Senior Positions:

  • Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
  • Experience leading or mentoring staff is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive support system.
  • Provide childcare support, engaging children in educational and recreational activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made.
  • Drive clients to appointments or activities as required.
  • Support clients in developing life skills and independence.
