Job Description Colliers is looking for an enthusiastic Surveyor to join the Residential Valuation team within the London Valuation and Advisory Services department. We welcome applications from newly qualified surveyors through to those operating at Senior Surveyor level. Those who are close to qualifying will also be considered. The role focused on delivering high-quality valuation and advisory work on individual residential assets. This is typically, single houses and apartments, small residential investment buildings, and other one-off residential instructions. This role sits within the Residential Valuation function but is separate from the teams handling student accommodation (PBSA), Build-to-Rent (BTR), and some buy-to-let portfolios. The majority of instructions comprise loan security valuations. You will inspect properties, analyse market evidence, prepare clear reports for clients, and help maintain strong client relationships. Main Responsibilities Working as part of an established team, undertake valuations of individual residential properties (flats, houses, small investment blocks) for a range of purposes (lending, acquisition, tax, accounts, internal decision-making). Carry out property inspections, take measurements, photographs, and gather all relevant site/tenure information. Analyse comparable evidence and local market data to support valuation conclusions. Produce clear, accurate valuation and advisory reports in line with RICS standards and firm templates. Manage multiple one-off instructions at different stages, ensuring deadlines are met. Support senior team members in nurturing repeat work from existing clients. Work in accordance with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book) and internal quality procedures. Ensure files are complete, auditable, and compliant. Keep up to date with local residential market trends and evidence. Qualifications MRICS (or APC near completion) Residential valuation experience (exposure to resi assets) Strong numeracy; confident with Excel/MS Office & databases Clear, concise report writing with high attention to detail Able to manage multiple small instructions and meet deadlines Good knowledge of London & South East residential markets Strong communicator and team player Additional Information At Colliers, we empower people to perform at their best.
