Position Summary The Residential Therapist, reporting to the Clinical Director, provides clinical leadership within assigned cottage(s), helping create a safe, trauma-informed environment while delivering and coordinating high-quality therapeutic services. Core Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the residential treatment setting. Support and coach staff to ensure consistent, effective care for youth. Deliver a range of therapeutic services, including assessment, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group counseling. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate care. Actively participate in team meetings to support a unified, client-centered approach. Provide clinical guidance during crises, including participation in an on-call rotation. Additional Responsibilities Contribute to staff training and professional development initiatives. Support quality improvement and program evaluation efforts. Demonstrate cultural humility and responsiveness in all interactions. Maintain licensure and pursue ongoing professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. Reporting Relationship Reports to: Clinical Director Requirements Qualifications, Knowledge & Education Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. Current North Carolina licensure required. General knowledge of clinical practices, behavioral health treatment approaches, and team-based care. Experience Prefer 2 years of experience providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents. Residential treatment experience preferred. Skills & Requirements Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to support, guide, and collaborate effectively with staff and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in documentation and service coordination.
