Job description
Edith Rigby House is a Psychologically Informed Planned Environment (PIPE) and is also an Enabling Environment as awarded by the RCPsych. This involves working with individuals with personality disorders/personality difficulties. The PIPE model is heavily focused on a relational approach, and as such t is an expectation of engaging/working even more ly with staff and residents. Necessary training and support is provided.

Our Residential Workers work in Approved Premises (AP) to secure homes for offenders who are on release from the prison service and making the transition back into the community. Overview of the approved premises role – Prison and Probation Jobs
NB: Roles require working regular unsociable hours which attract premium rates of pay in addition to advertised annual salary.
Monday to Friday: 7pm to 8am premium payment of 30%
Weekend: 8am Saturday – 8am Monday premium payment of 50%
Public/Bank Holidays: 8am to 8am premium payment of 50%: in addition, time off in lieu for actual hours worked is applicable.
SUMMARY
The job holder will assist in the well-being and supervision of residents, maintaining discipline, adnce to AP rules, licence conditions, sentence plan objectives specific to residency in the Approved Premises and court orders. In addition, will contribute to the management of residents’ risk. This post will involve substantial out of hours work, both waking night duty and weekend work. The post holder may be required to cover duties at other Approved Premises at times of staff absence.
In line with PS policies and procedures, the job holder must at all times demonstrate a commitment to equality and inclusion and an understanding of their relevance to the work they do.
The post holder must ad to all policies in respect of the sensitive/confidential nature of the information handled whilst working in this position.
