Residential Youth Workers and Senior Youth workers


Safe Places for Children are on the lookout for compassionate, committed Youth Workers to support young people in out of home care who are experiencing vulnerability and need someone to walk alongside them through life's challenges.


In this permanent, full-time role, you'll work directly with young people in a 24-hour care residential setting, helping them build resilience, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.


You'll work an average of 5 x 24-hour shifts per fortnight on a rotating roster - giving you meaningful time off while still making a deep impact.


Travel within the Mandurah region is required - a work vehicle is provided while on shift.


Who We're Looking For


You're a resilient, heart-led professional who brings:


✔ A Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or equivalent)

  • ✔ A current WWCC or willing to obtain
  • ✔ A full Australian Driver's Licence
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • ✔ A strong ability to build trust with diverse young people
  • Flexibility to work 5 x 24-hour shifts per fortnight
  • ✔ Emotional strength and resilience in high-pressure environments
  • ✔ A genuine passion for mentoring and teaching life skills
