General Description: A resort vehicle mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing various vehicles and equipment used within the resort, ensuring they are safe and operational for guest and staff use. This includes tasks like preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on vehicles such as trucks, vans, golf carts, and specialized equipment for golf course maintenance & landscaping.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in automotive or related fields.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle issues.
  • Proficiency in repairing and replacing various vehicle components.
  • Effective communication to explain issues and repairs to colleagues and potentially guests.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
  • Ability to think critically and find solutions to complex mechanical problems.
  • Turf technician/small engine/automotive mechanical certificates/diplomas/licenses

Utilize vehicle and equipment technical knowledge, skills, and abilities to optimize equipment downtime, which includes and not limited to:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in small and heavy golf course equipment (including cart fleet and course related equipment)
  • Maintain quality and height of cut on all mowing equipment to the Superintendent’s standards
  • Perform daily and preventative maintenance on course vehicles/equipment (including fluid changes)
  • Preventative Maintenance on Fleet Vehicles
  • Hydraulics
  • Other duties as assigne
