Our goal is to foster excellence in teaching and practical training, and your role as a Resource Assistant is essential to this mission.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to the ongoing expansion of the Construction Department, Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resource Assistant to support our growing team. This vital role focuses on maintaining and managing equipment and resources within the curriculum area, contributing to a high-quality learning environment for students and supporting the continued success of our department in delivering outstanding education in construction trades and skills.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

As a key member of the Construction team, your primary responsibilities are to ensure the smooth operation of resources and equipment essential for our teaching and training activities. Specific duties include:

  • Maintaining equipment and resources to ensure they are in optimal working order, and efficiency.
  • Managing and organising stock, including receiving, checking, and storing materials and equipment.
  • Preparing materials and equipment for teaching sessions to support effective learning.
  • Providing practical assistance to students during workshops, guided by lecturers and specialist practitioners.
  • Supporting the security and cleanliness of equipment and learning spaces, emphasising Health and Safety practices.
