Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Resource Coordinator to manage and plan all field requirements across the UK. You will be responsible for scheduling and allocating engineers for a range of activities, including break-fix, project deployments, and ad hoc field support requests.
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Plan, schedule, and allocate field engineering resources to meet customer demands across the UK.
  • Manage day-to-day resource assignments for break-fix, project work, installations, and other field requests.
  • Coordinate closely with Field Leads, Field Engineers, Cabling Teams, Project Managers, Service Desk, and other internal stakeholders to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
  • Monitor workloads and adapt schedules to meet changing priorities and emergencies.
  • Track and report on resource availability, capacity planning, and utilisation metrics.
  • Ensure all jobs are resourced in accordance with SLA and customer contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records within scheduling tools, ticketing systems, and internal databases.
  • Liaise with third-party contractors or partners, as required to supplement field capacity.
  • Identify gaps in resource coverage and support recruitment or subcontracting efforts.
  • Support continuous improvement of resource planning processes and systems.

YOU WILL SUIT THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE

  • Proven experience in resource coordination, scheduling, or workforce planning – ideally in a field service or engineering environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and adapt to rapid changes in workload.
  • Experience using workforce management or scheduling systems (e.g. HaloPSA, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Strong IT literacy, including MS Excel and other Office tools.
An understanding of Service Desk operations, a qualification within the ITIL framework, would be useful.
