The Resource Coordinator has a key role in preparing students to meet with financial aid by collecting required documentation for financial aid coordinators with clear knowledge of the institutional, federal, and state requirements. The Resource Coordinator will require technical knowledge and the ability to perform all functions as indicated below for the financial planning department. Responsibilities of the position include: Provides students and families with personal attention when they call or step into the financial aid office. Schedule students and families for financial aid appointments prior to starting school Contact students regarding missing documentation. Upload documents, as needed, into CampusNexus. Generate daily reports for students who are 7 or more days behind in submitting documentation. Successfully completes all new-hire and ongoing training courses in a timely manner. Assists with reminding students of financial aid appointments. Answers the phone and directs calls to the appropriate individuals. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. In good standing with the Department of Education. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with staff regarding financial aid. Ability to collaborate and work well with other departments. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends. Ability to function efficiently and use good time management skills in a fast paced and demanding work environment. Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail while working for extended periods of time. Proficient computer skills with specific emphasis on Microsoft Office products.
