We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.  Position Overview As a member of a Home Care Team, and accountable to the Manager Health Services, the incumbent supervises and ensures the efficient delivery of services to Home Care clients by coordinating Direct Service Staff (DSS) consisting of ISWs, HCAs, HSWs and RAs in accordance with the HCA/HSW Collective Agreement, program standards and policies, and care plans developed by Case Coordinators (CC). The incumbent maintains a competent complement of DSS to meet case load demands including identifying recruitment and education needs; matching, assigning and scheduling DSS; and providing ongoing supervision and evaluation. Experience Previous experience supervising staff, preferably in a unionized environment, is required. Proficiency in computerized systems (windows environment, word processors, spreadsheets and databases). Previous experience scheduling staff in work assignments. Related experience in a healthcare field. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Recognized post-secondary certificate and/or diploma in a health services or social sciences field required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Must have a valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle. Qualifications and Skills Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize a large complex workload to meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff. Demonstrated ability to function as a team member, work collaboratively across sectors, and be an active participant in multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to work independently.   This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
