Job Details Job Location: Reed Street - Philadelphia, PA 19146 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Resource Home Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment of resource parents who will care for children and youth needing dependent placement through Philadelphia Department of Human Services. Resource families are to be developed and certified in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare regulations, contract standards of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, and quality standards of Bethanna. The primary focus of the Resource Home Coordinator are: (1) develop and implement strategy to increase capacity of available resource homes; (2) develop relationships with external stakeholders to further support and facilitate recruitment events and strategies; (3) plan and implement recruitment events; (4) facilitate linkage to organization(s) that certify homes in a timely manner; (5) provide training, support , and follow up services to prospective and /or certified resource parents as needed; and (6) educate community on vision of IOC, role of CUA, needs of youth, and responsibilities of resource care givers. The Resource Home Coordinator functions as a part of the larger CUA team responsible for achieving the target goals of improving safety, permanency and well-being of youth and families. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with youth and families • Experience in Foster Care and/or Child Welfare preferred • Must be knowledgeable about child development, family dynamics, parenting skills, cultural competency, and IOC model of resource care including resource parents serving as mentors to the parents of the children in their care. • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license preferred • Ability to work evenings and weekends
