Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a certified Resource Teacher who will work as part of a team to assess the learning and program needs of students, and to facilitate and provide resources for the effective delivery of IEPs.

WE ARE SEEKING A QUALIFIED RESOURCE TEACHER THAT MUST POSSESS:

• A Manitoba Teacher’s Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
• Inclusive Education coursework, working towards obtaining an Inclusive Education Certificate within a three year period.
• Five years successful resource and/or classroom teaching experience.
• Familiarity with Manitoba Education’s Foundation Documents for Inclusive Education.
• Expertise in curricula, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) development, differentiated instruction and assessment.
• A strong academic background, with instructional expertise specific to literacy and numeracy in a range of grade levels.
