Description

Developmental Services Ontario Central West Region, administered by Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services, is the contact point for adult developmental services in Dufferin, Halton, Peel, Waterloo, and Wellington.
DSO Central West Region is presently inviting applications for:
Resource Management Coordinator Full-Time Contract (15-months) (37.5 hours/week)
The role of Resource Management Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling the MCCSS resource vacancy management process identified within Central West Region. This role maintains relationships with service agency contacts throughout the region to ensure the vacancy management process is completed following established protocols and procedures.

Specific job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with local service providers and planning tables in identifying needs of people seeking services and supports, providing registry/wait list information as necessary
  • Facilitating matching and linking of referrals to developmental services and supports
  • Ongoing maintenance of outcome plan in DSCIS
  • Facilitating referrals for identified service vacancies, following established protocol
  • Collaborate with the community to inform and direct people to available community supports, fee-for-service options, other government supports, employment etc.
  • Establish and maintain informal and formal networks through interagency committees and collaborative initiatives

The successful applicant will have:

  • A university degree or college diploma in a related social services field (Sociology, Psychology, Autism, Developmental Services, Community Services) combined with experience serving individuals of all ages with a developmental disability in a variety of community settings and programs
  • Demonstrated understanding and respect for people of diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong consulting skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other computer related equipment and programs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license and clean driving record.
  • Certification in CPI-Prepare Training would be an asset.
  • Require some flexibility including evenings and occasional weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months
Pay: $33.24-$36.93 per hour
