Position Summary The Part-Time Resource Officer supports the safety, security, and well-being of the St. David’s School community. This position provides a visible security presence on campus, assists with daily operations, and helps ensure a safe and welcoming environment for students, employees, families, and visitors. Key Responsibilities * Monitor campus grounds, buildings, and entry points to ensure a secure environment. * Provide safety oversight during arrival, dismissal, and special events. * Respond to safety concerns, incidents, or emergencies in a calm and professional manner. * Enforce school safety policies and support crisis response procedures. * Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and families to promote a culture of trust and safety. * Collaborate with school leadership, facilities, and local law enforcement when necessary. * Complete safety reports and documentation as required. Qualifications * Prior law enforcement, military, or school security experience preferred. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children. * Ability to remain alert, observant, and composed under pressure. * Commitment to the mission and values of St. David’s School. * Ability to work part-time hours, including occasional events or evenings as needed.
