KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• First point of contact for our client and drivers.
• Daily planning and scheduling of drivers shifts, organizing shift rotas and booking drivers.
• Liaising with the transport teams to book in potential new drivers for assessments.
• Registering new drivers.
• Dealing with second tier agencies to book drivers on a daily basis.
• Build relationships with drivers, planning and transport teams
• Completing relevant background, checks, right to work documentation, qualification checks and referencing as required.
• Ensuring all processes and procedures are followed to meet legislative and internal quality and compliance requirements.
• Support with recruitment across all Moran Logistics Sites.
• Producing ad-hoc reports as required to the Company Director to be able to provide regular updates on progress of works, including interviews, placements and meeting regular targets.
• Ensuring adherence to candidate data compliance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Good understanding of the WTD & HGV driver rules and regulations
• Experience working in a transport operation/planning department would be an advantage
• Ability to multitask to a high standard.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Confident speaking to people via phone and face to face
• Must have experience working within a busy office environment
• A full UK driving license with own transport
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Reporting to the Head of Resourcing this role is to provide exceptional level of service to candidates and managers through the Recruitment and Scheduling process. The role will be to support the recruitment process for the company as well as supporting the planning team and working on the driver schedules.
We are looking for someone with driver scheduling, transport operational or planning experience ideally with a good knowledge of the HGV drivers working time directive and driving hours legislation.
