Description

Island Métis Family & Community Services Society is a Delegated Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency (ICFSA) providing Guardianship, Resource and Voluntary services, including a variety of support programs, to Métis children, youth and families residing in the South Island region. Currently, IMFCSS is accepting employment applications for the following position:

EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of two (2) years of recent related or job-specific work experience.
· Preferably two (2) years of delegated experience, which includes experience in Guardianship & Permanency Planning or in Child Protection.
· Experience using Integrative Case Management system (ICM) and Management Information System (MIS) an asset.
· Preferably hold or be immediately eligible to obtain C4 delegation under the Child, Family & Community Services Act (CFCSA).
· Experience with recruitment, approval, and monitoring foster homes.
· Experience working with children, youth, young adults, and families experiencing multiple barriers (multiple placements, homelessness, poverty, mental health, addiction, trauma, etc.).

LOCATION:

· At the office of Island Métis Family & Community Services Society, located at 110-2871 Jacklin Road, Victoria. Outreach work is expected.
Normal schedule of work is 35 hours per week, performed Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the schedule to be set in collaboration with the Team Leader and Executive Director and based on program need. Some evening and weekend work may be required. Hourly rate is between $42.89 - $48.88 per hour.
