Description

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of forest development projects, especially pre-commercial thinning, planting, and fire suppression, and prescribed fire.
Skills in handling tools and perform work as necessary.
Skilled in using chainsaws and knowledge of chainsaw safety practices.
Ability to perform arduous work involving considerable physical effort, stamina, and exposure to various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
Ability to supervise approximately 3-5 Resource Worker I positions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of one year progressively responsible experience in natural resource at a level equivalent to a Resource Worker I.
Required to pass pre-employment drug test.
Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit.
Currently possess or ability to obtain a fire fighter rating of single resource or working toward single resource (Crew or Engine Boss).
Positions must pass the National Coordinating Group national standards for arduous work level which includes pack test, physical and mandatory firefighting training.
