The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Resourcing Partner to join our HR Resourcing team. It’s a part-time role 22.5 hours over Monday to Friday. Join us and you will be an integral part of our HR & Resourcing function, leading on our resourcing needs and bringing in talent of all contract types and from a wide range of routes that we’re keen to expand, from permanent and interim talent through to early careers and secondments.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing the capacity of our small team, aligning our resourcing aims and initiatives with our people objectives, and ensuring the growth and success of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making the best use of our ATS, you will lead full recruitment and resourcing processes, from job identification to onboarding, operating within local government governance frameworks
  • Partnering with our HRBPs and recruiting stakeholders across all directorates, you’ll provide strategic advice and plans to fulfil resourcing requirements for permanent & fixed term vacancies and contingent solutions in line with workforce and hiring plans
  • Leading and owning temporary, interim and contract hiring processes and policies, managing our vendor and ensuring compliance and value for money.
  • Collaborating with HR colleagues to lead and develop alternative and creative ways to bring the best talent into the MCA, including apprenticeship schemes, internship and graduate schemes
  • Owing and contributing to Resourcing projects and workstreams that are part of the HR function’s programme of improvement.
  • Provision of Monday and Friday cover for a Resourcing Partner within our current team

Are you someone who is experienced, collaborative, curious and laser focused on continuous improvement? Someone who always puts delivery first?

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience in an internal resourcing or recruitment role within a public sector organisation, including recommending and utilising a range of routes to market
  • Experience of facilitating a variety of contract types to fulfil resource needs, such as contingent workers, interim staff, consultants and contractors along with other contract types such as secondments and casual staff
  • A good knowledge and understanding of employment law, and the governance around resourcing within local government practice
  • A proactive team player, with the ability to be innovative and creative, taking a business-focused approach to solving organisational recruitment challenges

If this is your next role, please apply so you can tell us why you’d be a great fit. Please see the job description for more information.
