Responsibilities
  • Assist the Department Educator in orientation of new employees. Ensures all new employees are oriented to the shift including responsibilities and duties. Will demonstrate and observe procedures in various units and assure the new employee’s understanding.
  • Completes chart reviews, QA/PI reviews and other assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Participates in planning for Department services. Accepts assigned tasks and obtains results.
  • Effectively addresses clinical and operational issues as they arise
  • Encourages and completes inter and intra-shift communication using identified processes
  • Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
  • Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
  • Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Listens and communicates effectively
