Job Details Level: Entry Job Location: Swainsboro, GA 30401 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Clinical Certifications Job Shift: Days 7A Job Category: Other To use cardiovascular technology evaluation procedures such as ECG, cardiac ultrasound and evaluate cardiac function for adolescent ages 13 to 17, adult ages 18 years to death for preventative and improved cardiac functions. Provides orientation and education to other staff members. Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care. Qualifications MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer one year or more experience as an Ultrasound or Echo technician. CPR card current or application made for renewal. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk, and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and push a 560-pound machine up a ramp. Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met. Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned. Must posses the knowledge of intricate procedures in the use of ventilation, modality machine, and diagnostic procedures in a safe and competent manner. Posses the knowledge of principals, methods, practices, procedures, and terms used related to respiratory care. External and internal applicants who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided of or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case by case basis. Position has a moderate expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Responsibilities
The Respiratory Care Professional evaluates cardiac function using various cardiovascular technology procedures and provides education to staff. They also participate in performance improvement activities to ensure high standards of care.
