Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Physician to work with us at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust within Respiratory.
We are looking for a doctor dedicated to, and passionate about, improving health and wellbeing within the Worcestershire community.

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

  • To provide specialist respiratory advice to acutely unwell respiratory patients
  • To facilitate early discharge or prevent admission of respiratory patients where appropriate
  • To ensure respiratory patients benefit from specialist input when managed on an outlying ward.
  • Daily ward rounds
  • Participation in the General Internal Medicine responsibilities of the Respiratory Team including the general medical on call
  • Support of the unit’s goal of delivering highly effective care approaches
  • Teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students and junior staff
  • Participate in both department and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
  • Have responsibility for ensuring active participation in CME throughout.
  • Support development and delivery of sub-specialist respiratory services

DETAILS ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Speciality: Respiratory
  • Location: Worcestershire
  • Shift patterns: 8:30-17:00 Mon-Fri on-going (part-time hours also available)
  • Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
  • Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
  • Rate of pay per hour: £105-£125 depending on experience
  • Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

DOCTORS DIRECT RECRUIT TO THE HIGHEST OF NHS STANDARDS AND ALL CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THIS ROLE MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
