Overview Provides assistance in the Respiratory Therapy Department concerning all areas of Respiratory Care that do not require a license. The Respiratory Technician shall demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibilities as delegated and to complete such responsibilities in a timely manner. . SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION: This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Good working knowledge of medical terminology preferred Good data entry skills Responsibilities Ability to withstand considerable walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling and stooping on a daily basis. Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity for the accurate reading of computer spreadsheets, gauges, computer screens and reports. Ability to hear with or without correction. Ability to manipulate small tools and office equipment. Ability to spend up to ten percent (10%) of working time outside in temperatures ranging from 25 degrees F to above 100 degrees F. Tasks involve the occasional exposure to blood, body fluids and tissues.
Responsibilities
The Respiratory Technician assists in the Respiratory Therapy Department with various tasks that do not require a license. Responsibilities include physical activities such as walking, standing, and lifting, as well as handling equipment and potentially being exposed to bodily fluids.
