Overview Full Time Position 7:00am-7:00pm Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. The Respiratory Therapist II acts as lead therapist when assigned and performs all other duties as requested by management in accordance with established Policies and Procedures within the job specification. Qualifications Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: Completion of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy. Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. 2. Ability to act as lead therapist when assigned for all areas 3. When acting as a lead therapist, be able to provide NICU patient care (i.e., ventilator and Oxygen assessment) Required Licensure/Certifications: - Current State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist form the Department of Health and State of Florida - Current BLS certification. Required Experience: Less than one (1) year - Critical care for ventilator management. Preferred Experience: Three (3) or more years previous Respiratory Therapist experience in a major health care facility.
