Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Trinidad, Colorado.
Schedule: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM (3x12-Hour Shifts/Week + 12 Hours On-Call After Each Shift)
Call-Back Pay: Minimum 2-Hour Compensation for Emergency Call-Backs
Shift Structure: Fixed Schedule | Every Other Weekend Required

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is a vital member of our clinical team, providing expert respiratory care across the Med/Surg floor, ER, and outpatient areas. This role requires a confident, independent clinician who thrives in a dynamic rural hospital environment and is comfortable with both inpatient and emergent care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed RRT in the state of [Insert State]
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
• 1+ year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
• Experience in critical access or rural hospitals is a plus
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities

• Perform daily respiratory assessments and therapy for Med/Surg inpatients
• Provide emergency respiratory care and EKGs for all incoming ER patients
• Respond to code blue and rapid response situations
• Complete outpatient services including Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) when scheduled
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses on treatment plans
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in patient transport preparations as needed
• Maintain licensure and competency in alignment with hospital policy
