Description PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Respiratory Therapist Assistant to join our team. The (RTA) is responsible for non-clinical patient follow-up visits and updating information in the electronic medical records (EMR) and it also requires experience monitoring of medical equipment. This is an entry level respiratory support position with growth potential within the Respiratory department. This is a hands-on supportive position, which is customer service oriented, in a fast-paced environment. To learn more about our company, please visit Reporting to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, On call responsibilities Location: Smyrna, DE Requirements Associate or Bachelor degree (preferred) BLS Certification from AHA or Red Cross Valid Driver’s license Clean Driving record At least one year of home care, critical care, LTAC or long-term care experience (preferred) Mechanical Ventilator and Pediatric experience is a major advantage Must have solid working knowledge of charting in EMR Genereal knowledge of medical equipment (preferred) Must be detail oriented, have a solid work ethic, be highly organized Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Data entry and scanning into patient charting system Update visit spreadsheets, and shared document files as directed Completes Non-Clinical follow-ups and completes documentation in EMR Document and maintain updates for all patient visits Conducts in-person monthly or quarterly follow-up visits Exchange medical equipment under the supervision of the respiratory therapist Participates in the On-Call Program Must follow infection control practices and PPE policies established by the company Staging of ventilator set-ups and other equipment under the supervision of RT Other duties as assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required. Coordinate fine and gross motor movements and hand/eye movement.
