Description The Respiratory Therapist will: Use Respiratory Assessment throughout all areas of the hospital when caring for patients. Follow the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines. Promote compassionate, efficient, cost effective quality patient care, while demonstrating qualities consistent for the role. Incorporate teaching principles into all practices. Show use of written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the role. Requirements Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy program Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license Registration or Certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) One (1) year clinical experience Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate (preferred) Two (2) years' clinical experience, including emergency care (preferred) Experience with outpatient testing, i.e., PFT, stress testing, cardiac monitors (preferred) Salary Range: The base rate for this position is $35.00 - $42.00 per hour. The hourly range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
