  Position Summary: Demonstrates proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age specific patient population (e.g. infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) and participates in related continuing education.  Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgement and personal initiative. Minimum Education: * Graduate from an AMA, CoARC or JRCRTE approved Respiratory Therapy program Preferred Education: * Associate Degree in Respiratory Care Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications: * Must possess excellent assessment skills to floor therapy and patients on mechanical ventilators. * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications: * Two (2) years experience in an acute care facility  Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation: * Current and valid RCP license from the Respiratory Care Board of California * Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) * American Heart Association BLS Card * American Heart Association ACLS Card * American Heart Association PALS Card * Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire * Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment) Shift: Nights Hours: 6:00pm - 6:00am Shift Hours: 12 Weekly Hours: 36 Type: Full-Time FTE: 0.9
