EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is preferred.
  • Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of five (5) years recent and relevant experience in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Specialty certifications are preferred.
  • Related leadership experience including training, coaching and mentoring staff, students and colleagues.
  • Adult teaching and supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in the Infection Prevention and Control Practices.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer and keyboarding skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Meditech computer system.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills; self-directed.
  • Demonstrated excellence in team building and communication.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and processes.
