Your Opportunity:
The role of the Professional Practice Lead (PPL), Respiratory Therapy, is to advance the professional practice of the Respiratory Therapy discipline to support excellence in patient and family centered health care. As the PPL you will align planning and policy development, service delivery and evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy Program at three large acute care facilities in Edmonton - the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH), Mazankowski Heart Institute (MAHI) and the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). This position reports administratively to the Manager of Respiratory at the UAH/MAHI and has reporting accountability for fulfilling the role to both Managers of Respiratory Therapy for the UAH/MAHI and RAH.
Description:

As a Respiratory Therapist III - Clinical Practice Lead, you will be responsible for mentoring, promoting standards of practice, responding to clinical questions, and coordinating ongoing skill and student development within your team. You will collaborate with managers and supervisors in the provision and access to internal and external continuing education and professional development programs including certifications and upgrades.
