POLICY:

The consulting respiratory therapist will oversee the needs of the hospital in regards to respiratory care whether inpatient or outpatient.

MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires accreditation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Basic Life Support certification
• Displays good communications skills
• Demonstrates skills in performing complex work in various stressful settings

To provide professional respiratory consultation, to organize and supervise in accordance with recognized techniques and established procedures.
