The Respiratory Therapist functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies. We have openings at all of our locations: Miami Valley Hospital Main, Miami Valley Hospital South, Miami Valley Hospital North, Atrium Medical Center, and Upper Valley Medical Center. NICU positions also available! Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree Additional requirements: Type of degree: Applied Science or Equivalent Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements Preferred educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) BLS ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability PALS certification required within 6 months of hire or based upon course availability
