Description SUMMARY: Are you a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) looking to move away from bedside care while still working directly with patients? This full-time role combines clinic-based and in-home respiratory care, patient education, and NIV support — offering autonomy, variety, and strong work-life balance. This position supports patients in the Ohio / OSU area through hands-on education, equipment support, and collaboration with physicians and care teams. What You’ll Do Provide patient and caregiver education on respiratory diagnoses, NIV therapy, and home equipment use Support patients in clinic and home settings, including mask fittings, pressure adjustments, downloads, and troubleshooting Conduct routine follow-ups via in-person visits, phone, and telehealth Perform NIV setups and occasional home visits Deliver and set up respiratory equipment per physician orders Collaborate with physicians, clinics, and hospital partners to support continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and state regulations Build strong relationships with outpatient clinics and OSU-area healthcare partners Schedule & Work Environment Full-time position Split role: branch/clinic setting and patient homes Local travel within the OSU/central Ohio area Participation in a rotating on-call schedule (details discussed during interview) Occasional overnight travel for training or meetings Qualifications Required Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license (CRT or RRT) (LPN or RN also considered) Minimum 6 months clinical experience Strong communication and patient education skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally Preferred Experience with home respiratory care, DME, NIV, or sleep therapy Associate’s degree or higher Customer service or patient-facing healthcare experience Pay & Benefits Starting at $35/hour, based on experience and credentials Full-time benefits package (medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, etc.) Continuing education and licensure support Stable schedule with reduced bedside stress Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable handling respiratory equipment and working hands-on with patients in home settings OTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
