Generous Sign-On Bonus: $12,000 for candidates with less than 1 year of experience $20,000 for candidates with 1+ years of experience Two-year work commitment required What You’ll Do: Provide expert respiratory therapy and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction. Perform pulmonary function tests, interpret clinical data, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient outcomes. Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment, ensuring safe and effective treatment. Respond to emergency situations and assist with transporting ventilated patients. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care Program (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) Licensure: Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (must meet AHA standards, including didactic and skills demonstration, within 30 days of hire) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Respiratory therapists who earned their RRT credential after July 1, 2002 must maintain certification per NBRC requirements Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance (with renewal) Act 34 Criminal Clearance (with renewal) Act 73 FBI Clearance (with renewal) UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
