HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Job Summary: To administer general respiratory care modalities in non-critical and function independently in all adult/pediatric/neonatal intensive care areas (which include MSICU, CVSICU, VNICU, CICU, PICU, NICU AND THE EMERGENCY CENTER) in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Implement and monitor all therapeutic modalities per physician’s orders. Function as an Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric Code Captain. Develop and broaden assessment skills, communication skills, and a knowledge base with in these area of respiratory care. Competent to perform all duties and responsibilities of a shift lead and function as an alternate shift lead therapist. Attend neonatal deliveries, intubation of infants and pediatrics patients, function in high risk situations in a delivery room, and provide ground transports of neonatal, pediatric and adult patients to and from TMH. Provide on call staffing for department needs. Reports: Respiratory Care Lead Supervises: None WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program Required Experience: Minimum: 3 years experience as an RRT practicing in a Neonatal, Pediatric, and Adult patient population. Validation of competencies for Respiratory Neonatal Pediatric Critical Care. Required Certification/License/Registry: Minimum: Must possess & maintain licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care AND Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) AND Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) AND Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS) AND Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) If you are interested in becoming a part of TMH’s legacy of quality & compassionate healthcare, we want to know you.
