REQUIREMENTS

• RRT credential from NBRC (or state equivalent)
• AHA BLS (required at start); ACLS (within 6 months)
• Graduate of AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program
• 1 year of RT experience preferred, but new grads welcome at some locations

• Provide care to patients with asthma, COPD, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, and post-lung transplant
• Manage ventilators (Triology, Vyaire – Transport Vent), V60 Bipap, intubations/extubations
• Perform diagnostic tests (pulmonary function tests, blood gases)
• Administer oxygen, medications, aerosol therapy, and chest physical therapy
• Educate patients on equipment use and treatments
• Work with a 1:1 RT-to-patient ratio, managing 7–9 airways per RT per site
