AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are in URGENT need of a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Therapist to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Stockton, CA. ​​​​​​Position Details: 40 Hours per week Location: Stockton, CA Schedule: Monday-Thursday 1:30pm-10:00pm & Sunday 8:30am-5:00pm Rate: $50/hr as a Traveler ($2,000/week) OR $52.50/hr as 1099 ($2,100/weekly) OR $40/hr as Local ($1,600/weekly) Respiratory Care Board to practice respiratory care in the State of California and credential issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Must have 1-full year of experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist ​​​​​​Job Description: Under the direction of the Institution designee, the Temporary/Relief Respiratory Care Practitioner shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Respiratory Care Practitioner services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. The Respiratory Care Practitioner must be able to work in conditions that require all the following essential functions: a. Perform care consistent with generally accepted evidence based practice. b. Set up equipment and provide instructions for use of equipment for each patient/youth per established policy and procedure. c. Perform complete medical evaluations of patient either during regularly scheduled clinic hours or upon request for consult by either the designee and make appropriate recommendations for treatment to the referring physician, designee. d. Maintain all charting daily. Any chart remaining delinquent for more than ten (10) days could result in termination of this Temporary/Relief Respiratory Care Practitioner; e. Aid in the development and updating of policy and procedures related to respiratory therapy. f. Responsibilities
