Description Facility: Sylva Valley Health & Rehab (Skilled Nursing Facility) Job Type: Full-Time (Part-Time/PRN considered) Schedule: Days / Evenings / Weekends as needed (discussed during interview) About the role Sylva Valley Health & Rehab is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to support residents with respiratory needs in a skilled nursing setting. This role is ideal for an RT who is clinically strong, dependable, and enjoys working closely with nursing, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to keep residents safe and stable. What we offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Flexible schedule options (discussed during interview) Supportive team environment and collaborative clinical culture Vacation time + Sick time (per eligibility) Key responsibilities Assess residents with respiratory conditions and implement respiratory care plans Provide and monitor treatments such as nebulizers, inhaler education, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques (per orders and scope) Support residents with COPD, CHF, pneumonia recovery, trach care, and other chronic respiratory needs as applicable to facility services Monitor oxygen use, equipment function, and safety (tanks, concentrators, tubing, humidification) Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory devices, breathing strategies, and precautions Collaborate with nursing/providers on changes in condition and respiratory-related interventions Document assessments, treatments, and resident response clearly and timely Participate in care conferences/IDT and discharge planning as needed Requirements Current Respiratory Therapist license/credential (state-licensed/registered as applicable) Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program Strong clinical judgment and communication skills SNF/LTC or post-acute experience preferred (hospital experience welcome) Apply Apply online: tinyurl.com/sylvavalley
