JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in respiratory therapy, with experience in various settings including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal respiratory function and comfort.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license with relevant certifications.
• Experience in hospital settings, particularly in ICU environments.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pulmonology related to respiratory function.
• Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and acute care protocols.
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and clinical practices for various age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team at both Level I and Level II trauma centers.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

• Conduct patient assessments to evaluate respiratory needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including the use of ventilators and airway management techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Collaborate with medical staff to provide high-quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, medication administration, and home care techniques.
• Participate in emergency response situations as needed, utilizing skills in basic life support and critical care.
