Job Details Job Location: Falls Church, VA Salary Range: Undisclosed Description Respiratory Therapist - Skilled Nursing Vierra Falls Church, a Vierra Communities property, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team! The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate, diagnose and manage care and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other member of the healthcare team. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Per established department policies and procedures, access, educate, administer and appropriately document: a. Oxygen Therapy b. Aerosol Therapy c. Mechanical ventilation/BIPAP d. Arterial blood gas obtainment and analysis e. Standard pre and/or post bronchodilator bedside pulmonary function studies f. Standard electrocardiogram g. MDI h. CPT i. IS j. EEG Essential Job Requirement: Graduate of an NBRC approved program for respiratory therapy, qualifying candidate for certification/registry. Current Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state working. CRT or RRT from Nation Board Respiratory Care (NBRC) BLS certification ACLS, PALS Certification Experience in Skilled Nursing preferred Must pass a criminal background check Long term care experience preferred Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals About Vierra Communities We aim to redefine healthcare through an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.
