Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director and Medical Director, the respiratory therapist is responsible for providing basic and advanced Respiratory Care services to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of Respiratory Care in all patient care departments. Therapy services and testing are performed within the scope of practice of the Cardiopulmonary Department and within the licensure guidelines as defined by the state of Kansas. IND456 Qualifications JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Preferred Experience: 1 + years clinical experience Able to perform all therapeutic respiratory care procedures in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Education: Minimum Required Education: Successful completion of an associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care Licenses: Minimum Required Licenses: KSBHA license Minimum Required Credentials: Certified Respiratory Therapist from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Preferred Credentials: Registered Respiratory Therapy from the NBRC. Preferred Licenses: N/A Certifications: Minimum Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
